A, B, Colleen

Since I’m pregnant and my life revolves around that right now, I’m going to try to do this with a pregnancy twist … let’s see if it works ..

A. Age: 27, will be 28 when buoy is born
B. Bed size: Queen, definitely considering investing in a king due to the large number of pillows I now utilize plus the fact that I have always been a bed hogger.
C. Chore you hate: Dishes – must buy dishwasher safe baby things
D. Dogs: Had one growing up — baby, then boat, then another baby, then maybe when said babies are old enough to take care of the dog, we’ll get a dog.
E. Essential start to your day: Gotta pee, gotta pee.
F. Favorite color: Anything that is colorful, I like bright, multi colored clothes – we’re going for a bunch of blues, greens, turquois in buoy’s bedroom.
G. Gold or silver: Gold – this one is all about me – gold, gold gold.
H. Height: 5’7 — Greg is 6’1 … I hope buoy is tall like him
I. Instruments you play: None — I do try to sing, but I’m a terrible singer, but I always sang to babies when I baby sat them to try to calm them down. I know every word to way too many songs – it’s a talent.
J. Job Title: HR Generalist, soon to be Mom and HR Generalist
K. Kids: Buoy!!  Plus 4 more …. haha, okay I want 5 but Greg only wants 2 or 3, soo we shall see.
L. Live: Suburbs of Boston, MA — town next to where I grew up. We will be in this house for a few more years, but hope to move closer to the water … I love me some beach.
M. Mom’s name: Kiki! – Real name is Christine — she went by Chrissy to my cousins, when their kids were able to talk Chrissy was too hard so Kiki was born!! Kiki is her grandma name, but everyone calls her it these days!  (She will also answer to Keekster, Kikerific, Kikified … the list goes on … everyone wonders why it took so long for someone to call her Kiki because it fits her perfect!) (PS Love you mum!)
N. Nicknames: Bean / Beanie — all my family and friends from home call me that — otherwise not much. Right now baby-to-be is called Buoy or Boo … not sure what his nicknames will be because we don’t have a name for him!
O. Overnight hospital stays: None yet – but come August I hope for just a two night stay.
P. Pet peeve: When people say “what?” and then answer the question you just asked — they HEARD you, but yet they say “what” and then proceed straight to answering. Grrr.
Q. Quote from a movie: “Nemo touched the butt!” … yes that is actually my favorite quote before having kids, Nemo is the greatest
R. Right or left handed: Righty – but we’re hoping Buoy is a lefty – it’s better for sports and college scholarships! (That is a joke people, a joke — we’ll love him even if he doesn’t throw a mean curve ball.)
S. Siblings: Big brother & SIL, Big sister, Little BIL for me — Buoy is TBD on siblings, see letter K.
T. Time you wake up: Oh sleep, how I love you … 6:30 alarm on week days, out of bed at 6:50 … weekends these days I’ve been getting up by 8am, not by choice! But I take a solid nap most weekend days …. it also should be noted here that no matter the day of the week I am sound asleep by 10pm. Woo lame pregnant lady!
U. Underwear: Yup — umm — yeah. .
V. Vegetables you dislike: Mushrooms. Thank goodness baby food doesn’t come in mushrooms … right?
W. What makes you run late: Nothing. I don’t do late. I HATE being late. (It’s gonna be hard to have a baby and keep up with this huh?)
X. X-Rays you’ve had: Dentist; Pinky finger (broken), Ankle (sprained), and neck (thank goodness nothign was broken with that – just lots of messed up muscles)
Y. Yummy food you make: Buffalo chicken dip. It’s heavenly. I now must make some for myself to devour this weekend, thanks for reminding me.
Z. Zoo animal: Turtles! They are at zoos right? Either way I love them. And they might be a mini-theme for Buoys bedroom.

Sorry, I know this was supposed to be about me but I’m also trying to get back into blogging and the only thing I can think to talk about now is Buoy … so … there you go. Hope you got a laugh or two.

  1. This made me want to eat buffalo chicken dip. BADLY. 🙂 I love the spin you put on this — too cute! Can’t wait to see how you end up decorating the nursery!

  2. Ok, that is sooooooooooo my favorite quote too. I say it all the time to the hubs and he just laughs. HA!
Also, I don’t do late either. The hubby does. Drives me bonkers. I’m getting agitated thinking of it.

Buoy!!! I scoped that turtle sleep and play a full month before you knew the gender. I agree, perfect scheme for a nursery. I love to paint! I can help!
